Latest News: Ottawa County Selects EI Technologies, LLC for Utility GIS Implementation

Parker, CO — February 1, 2010

Ottawa County, Ohio has selected EI Technologies, LLC to perform Utility GIS Implementation through a competitive selection process.   As part of this implementation, Ottawa County Sanitary Engineering Department will convert hardcopy paper maps into digital format, GIS System Maintenance. This project includes geodatabase design, data conversion, data quality control, customized applications development, CAMPSTM tools deployment, knowledge transfer and technical support.  EI Technologies, LLC plans to complete this project within a 10 month period allowing the County to stay ahead of internal project rollout schedule. EI Technologies, LLC is pleased to welcome Ottawa County as our newest client.

Ottawa County is located on Lake Erie about 15 miles southeast of Toledo, Ohio. It is situated in the Black Swamp district. The county has a level surface and includes the Portage River. The peninsula extending into the lake has abundant limestone deposits.

The geographic area for data conversion covers the entire water and sewer service area of the Ottawa County Sanitary Engineering Department. This area covers all of Ottawa County with the exception of several small municipal water and sewer systems. This area occupies about 265 square miles.
