City of Cleburne Selects EI Technologies for Utilities GIS Implementation

City of Cleburne has signed with EI Technologies, LLC for utilities GIS implementation. This project includes geodatabase design for utilities infrastructure, intranet application, internet application, field data capture, data conversion, and staff augmentation.  EI Technologies, LLC has provided similar services to numerous customers throughout North America.

The City of Cleburne is in Johnson County, Texas and with a population over 30,000, making it the second most populous city in Johnson County. Cleburne is named for a Confederate General, Patrick Cleburne. Lake Pat Cleburne, the reservoir that provides water to the city and surrounding area, is also named for him. It was formerly know as Camp Henderson, a temporary Civil War outpost from which Johnson County soldiers would depart for war (most of them would serve under General Cleburne). The city was formally incorporated in 1871. Cleburne is on the fringe of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Local government is the major employer in Cleburne, providing over 1,700 jobs.
