Parker, CO — July 22, 2009
The City of Phoenix, AZ has selected EI Technologies, LLC to provide GIS Professional Services. EI Technologies, LLC is expected to provide GIS Technology support and staff augmentation services as part of this project.
The City has established an enterprise geographic information system (GIS). A GIS database is maintained which includes digital orthophotography and a wide variety of geographically related local government data. GIS development efforts focus on automation and improvement of City business functions that use property, transportation, utilities, public facilities, political and administrative boundaries, and other geospatial data.
Phoenix was incorporated as a city in 1881 after being founded in 1868 near the Salt River, near its confluence with the Gila River. The city eventually became a major transportation hub in North America and a main transportation, financial, industrial, cultural and economic center of the Southwestern United States.
Located in the northeastern reaches of the Sonoran Desert, Phoenix has the hottest climate of any major city in the United States. The average high temperatures are over 100 °F (38 °C) for almost five months out of the year, and have spiked over 120 °F (49 °C) on occasion.
EI Technologies, LLC has assigned an integrated team of IT, GIS, and database consultants to accomplish the services. Nirav Shah, president and CEO of EI Technologies, LLC said that the team is committed to implementing a superior solution for the City on time and on schedule. He added, “We will provide the City with the best consulting services in the industry similar to what we have done for over 200 clients throughout North America.”
EI Technologies, LLC is a full-service GIS consulting firm that specializes in the planning and implementation of GIS solutions for government and industry.
