EI Technologies, LLC Completes Implementation of Enterprise GIS Infrastructure for Yuma County, AZ

EI Technologies, LLC announced today that the company has completed the implementation of a Geographic Information System for Yuma County, Arizona.
The project was completed in 24 months and involved the design, development, installation and testing of a geospatial database, map layers, customized applications, systems integration, training, and technical support.

EI Technologies, LLC is a full-service GIS consulting firm that specializes in the planning and implementation of GIS solutions for government and industry. The company built Yuma County’s Enterprise GIS using ArcGIS-ArcSDE and a MS SQL Server relational database. The project involved the conversion of planimetric, cadastral, transportation, and utilities data into an ArcGIS geodatabase environment.
At the start of the project the County had 150 datasets in CADD and ESRI coverages for such feature classes as parcels, lots, subdivisions, street centerlines, and hydrology. EI Technologies assigned thirty GIS technicians and consultants to the conversion effort. Yuma also had licenses for several third-party programs including CartêGraph, Accela PermitsPlus, and Tyler Eagle.
EI Technologies either integrated or worked with the manufacturers to integrate these programs into the Enterprise GIS. EI Technologies also developed web-enabled mapping tools for Yuma County using ArcIMS technology. Both an intranet and an Internet mapping applications were deployed as part of the project.
Yuma County’s Enterprise GIS provides internal and external users with access to accurate and complete business data for planning, infrastructure management and maintenance, and emergency management purposes. “This project is another success story for our company,” said Nirav Shah, president and CEO. “We were elated when the County nominated us to be Integrator of Year.
