EI Technologies is a Limited Liability Company, founded in 1992 by Nirav Shah.  The firm focuses on implementing enterprise-wide, Internet and mobile GIS solutions for government agencies and commercial organizations.

The senior executives and managers are Nirav Shah, Bill Schlanger, Daivesh Sanghvi, Mark Bessett, Russ Oberg, and David Porter.  They work together on most projects to ensure that our customers are satisfied with services provided by the firm.

EI Technologies' management team has practical experience in civil engineering, geosciences, and local government planning.  We have also more than 80 combined years’ expertise in GIS, CAD, remote sensing, and database management. 

About Our Management Team

Nirav Shah, President

Nirav has a M.S. in engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He has authored over 20 publications on GIS and project management.  

Nirav is competent with mainframes and personal computers.  He is also competent with GIS, project management, database management, and office software.

Our project staff is committed to the GIS industry.  GeoWorld named Nirav “GIS Visionary” two years in a row.

David Porter

David  has more than 15 years of data conversion experience and thirty-one years of local government experience.  He has also been involved in several large GIS projects and is an invaluable asset because of his knowledge of ArcInfo and GIS in general. 

David has been a Planning Director, a Planning Commissioner, and a City Councilman. He has BA in Geography from the California State University at Fresno.

Mark Bessett

Mark has extensive experience with computer software including MS SQL Server(™), DB2, AS400, and Oracle(™).  He has written several GIS applications and designed a comprehensive permit control and workflow system.  Mark’s knowledge of MS SQL Server will help our customers manage geospatial data.  Mark is working on his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Russ Oberg

Russ  has more than 23 years of GIS and CAD experience.  Before joining EI Technologies he was the GIS manager for Jefferson County, Colorado.  His knowledge of GIS will ensure that your data are accurate and that they meet or exceed your specifications.  His understanding of data conversion techniques and database design will allow us to develop the best possible QA/QC process.
